An aerial view of downtown San Juan Capistrano from a 1960 postcard. The
number of cars parked
around the mission has changed very little over the years, but the traffic
density throughout
the rest of the town has increased tremendously since then. Oh, and all
open grassy
areas have been paved over for parking. Except for the places where they
built strip malls.
And fast food joints, and trinket shops, and gated communities, and ...
oh never mind.
